This chapter focuses on section 3. The other three are a research-writing topic, not a statistical one.

Results section (part 1)

Concerns as a methodological reviewer / co-author

  1. Did it report all model coefficients (in text or table)?

  2. Did it report effect sizes and confidence intervals?

  3. Did it clarify whether the coefficients are standardized?

  4. Did it describe the checking of model assumptions?

Results section (part 2)

Concerns as a methodological reviewer / co-author

  1. Was the model appropriate given the assumption checks?

  2. Did it correctly interpret zero-order and partial effects?

  3. Did it correctly interpret interaction and simple effects?

  4. Did it plot the model’s predictions and uncertainty?
